Craft weapons at Clang's smithy or collect them from lotteries, quests, and Dark Ratatan. Ratatan weapons include Sword & Shield, Spear, Bomb, Bow, Lance, Wand, Scythe, and Hammer; Mythic has stronger base parameters than Legendary, while your best pick also depends on its Decorunes and your formation. Clang runs Craft in Rataport, and the Dark Ratatan farming route starts in Episode 2 after you clear World 5 and raise Goddess Games Oath Level to at least 1.
Which Weapons Are in the Ratatan Weapon List?
You can equip Cobuns with the weapon types below, progressing from basic equipment to Epic, Legendary, and Mythic choices. Each Cobun class has its own signature weapon, so owning a weapon and having your chosen Ratatan's formation ready to use it are separate goals.
The named weapons below cover the Early Access catalog and crafting families. The full release adds further Mythic weapons with dedicated Decorunes, so treat this as a list of named options rather than a complete full-release collection checklist.
Each type has a Standard starting weapon. The Rare upgrades use Fancy names, except for Stylish Scythe and Stylish Hammer.

How Do You Unlock Weapons in Ratatan?
Get weapons through Craft, Goddess Lottery altars, Ratatan quests on the Quest Board, and Dark Ratatan victories. Choose the route for the item you want: crafting targets a named recipe, while the lottery gives you a random weapon.
Craft Named Weapons at Clang's Smithy
- Return to Rataport and visit Clang at Craft.
- Open Weapon Craft and find the weapon's blueprint group.
- Bring the ingredients for that recipe and craft the weapon.
- Use Level Up to select the weapon you want to keep, then select unwanted weapons as scrap.

Leveling increases HP, ATK, and WIZ bonuses. The Early Access crafting rules make recipe weapons once-only crafts that start at level 1 with fixed Decorunes. Plan around that restriction when using those recipes: repeatedly crafting the same item is not a route to fishing for different effects.
For an early Epic, Island Blueprints 1 offers Shock Sword, Lavish Spear, Noxious Bomb, Soaring Bow, Crashing Lance, Shalalalagh, Grim Trimmer, and Mightfall Mallet. Each recipe costs 1 Seashell and 1 Sea Glass. That gives you a concrete crafting target across all weapon types without waiting for a particular lottery result.
Collect Random Weapons and Quest Rewards
Goddess Lottery altars award a random weapon, and Mega Goddess Lottery is the stronger lottery option. Ratatan-specific Quest Board tasks can also award weapons. Check those tasks alongside your adventure goals so a run can advance a quest as well as bring back equipment.
From Episode 3 onward, Goddess Lottery and Goddess's Super Lottery use item pools separate from Episodes 1 and 2. Your episode therefore matters when choosing where to keep rolling for equipment.
Farm Mythic Weapons From Dark Ratatan
- Clear Episode 1 through World 5.
- Raise the Goddess Games Oath Level to 1 or higher to enter Episode 2.
- Progress the Dark Ratatan events that appear during Intervals until they become boss encounters.
- Defeat Dark Ratatan for a low chance of a Mythic weapon.
You do not need to finish a perfect gem loadout before trying this route. One player reported beating Dark Ratatan with level 50 weapons at Oath Level 1, later using a level 90 gem bow alongside two level 50 fire or explosive bows. That is a useful reason to try the fight before committing to a long upgrade grind, rather than a promise that every loadout will win. Check Ratatan bosses when the encounter itself becomes your roadblock.
Claim Spirit Sword Banbansord
Spirit Sword Banbansord is a Legendary preorder bonus, and Steam Early Access purchasers also receive it automatically with the full release. Eligible bonuses enter your inventory when you launch the game, with a receipt notification on the title screen. If you bought eligible content while the game was running, close it and launch it again. Update the game if purchased and activated DLC is missing, since a hotfix addresses that delivery issue.
Raise the Weapon Level Cap
Weapons reach level 50 before limit breaking, and the current maximum is 100 with the fourth limit-break stage. Clear World 5 to open Goddess Games and use its oaths to earn weapon limit-break materials.
Mythic weapons can now be limit broken too. Their materials come from Episode 3 onward, including Goddess Games rewards for defeating world bosses and mid-bosses. Once you are ready to move beyond Episode 2, follow how to unlock Episode 3 in Ratatan for that progression goal.
Choose scrap carefully: those weapons are consumed by Level Up. Keep useful Decorune rolls, and concentrate scarce early limit-break materials on equipment you intend to use.
How Do You Get Ratatan Gem Weapons?
Craft gem weapons at Clang using Gem Blueprints 1 for Epic equipment or Gem Blueprints 2 for Legendary captain weapons. The recipes below belong to the Early Access crafting set; match the named recipe in Weapon Craft before spending your ingredients.
| Epic gem weapon | Recipe group | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| Red-Hot Wrecker | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Volcrysts + 5 Unrequited Antlers |
| Deep Blue Seaspear | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Thalassites + 5 Kit's Beloved Ropes |
| Cyclone Bomb | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Viridazes + 5 Mysterious Masks |
| Void Bow | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Voidiums + 5 Squid Tentacles |
| Maiden's Pearl Lance | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Maiden's Pearls + 5 Weary Hoods |
| Amber Diamond Staff | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Gloamonds + 5 Squid Tentacles |
| Violet Cutter | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Lavivanes + 5 Kit's Beloved Ropes |
| Pinkoral Hammer | Gem Blueprints 1 | 5 Coralites + 5 Mysterious Masks |
| Legendary gem weapon | Recipe group | Ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| S'word's Slicer | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Volcrysts + 12 Silversheens |
| Jaja-velin's Bolt | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Thalassites + 12 Sullenites |
| Ka-Boomer's Boomer | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Viridazes + 12 Auralaula |
| Bowregard's Ballista | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Voidiums + 12 Glassites |
| Lance-a-Lot's Skewer | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Maiden's Pearls + 12 Silversheens |
| Mystick's Stick | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Gloamonds + 12 Sullenites |
| Reapy's Soul Reaver | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Lavivanes + 12 Auralaulas |
| Boplin's Bopper | Gem Blueprints 2 | 12 Coralites + 12 Glassites |
For material farming, players have collected gem materials from purple-aura enemies in Worlds 4 and 5. Those are useful places to focus a farming run. You can also work on Quest Board goals during the same trips rather than treating each missing ingredient as a separate grind.
The formation effect is a major reason to care about Legendary gem weapons. Big Scruffy Decorune gives +240 HP and +20 ATK, then adds +30% CRT with 3 different unit types. With 2 or fewer types, it instead reduces CRT by 30%. Chief Decorune rewards the opposite formation: +30% CRT with 1 unit type, or a 30% CRT reduction with 2 or more. Read the actual Decorune before committing to a formation; the weapon's name alone does not tell you which condition to build around.
Which Are the Best Ratatan Weapons for Your Build?
Pick weapons whose Decorunes support your formation and damage plan: gem weapons suit their matching unit-type condition, Bonbon weapons support fire attacks, and Mythics offer stronger base parameters plus dedicated effects. For a practical Ratatan weapon tier list, compare those conditions before sorting everything by rarity.
| Your goal | Weapon choice | Tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Run 3 different Cobun types | A gem weapon with Big Scruffy Decorune | +30% CRT becomes a 30% penalty if you bring too few types. |
| Build around fire normal attacks | Bonbon Reaper's Scythe and Teddy Bear Staff | You need fire normal-attack Ratakaruta to get the intended payoff. |
| Improve normal attacks with a Mythic | Panda Wand or Tusky Hammer | Tusky Hammer's bonuses require HP above 50%. |
| Improve timed Hustle attacks | Sonar Bow | Just inputs give a larger damage bonus than Good inputs. |
| Add sustain | Stinky Sword | Its status immunity and regeneration serve a different goal from pure burst damage. |
An Early Access player build used 6 wand Cobuns and 3 scythe Cobuns, equipping Teddy Bear Staff and Reaper's Scythe with Bonbon Decorune. Bonbon provides +20 ATK and strengthens fire Ratakaruta damage, including attacks, Hustle, and burning. The scythes' Hustle 2 applies a damage-taken debuff, while the wands' Hustle 2 provides an attack buff. Your normal attacks do the ongoing work, making the build less dependent on spending MP for attack skills.
The catch is the card draw. Without fire normal-attack Ratakaruta, this setup loses much of its purpose. The player also swapped to Happy Decorune weapons or added archers when fire cards did not arrive. Happy rewards accurate timing with +25% standard attack damage on Just inputs, but applies a 25% decrease otherwise. If you need to tighten your commands before building around it, revisit how to play Ratatan.
Do not chase every low-HP bonus at once. That fire setup can benefit from low-HP cards, but the player warned that pushing those effects increases the chance of an accidental death. Keeping the squad alive is a sensible trade when the alternative is losing the run for extra damage.
For damage rolls, look for ATK or CRT on dropped weapons. A crafted weapon's fixed effects may not suit your plan, while drops let you compare different rolls of the same weapon. Keep a useful roll and move on; perfect-roll hunting can become a grind of its own. Dekadon and Charged Dekadon weapons are also player-recommended options for Dark Ratatan attempts, including mixed scythe, bow, and magician formations.
Once you have a weapon route and a formation that activates its effects, you can spend upgrades toward a specific loadout. If your next decision is which Ratatan should lead that squad, compare the Ratatan tier list before starting another farming loop.
